About Me:
I have taught grades 4--8 in the classroom, subjects from self-contained, reading only, spelling & social studies only, and CAI Career Investigation. But my love is the library! I became a librarian in 1981 and all but two years of that has been elementary. Currently I am at Lula B. Goodman Elementary in FBISD.

Summer School musing

This week I started SS for real. Half day is summer school (3rd & 5th graders only...TAKS remediation) and the afternoons are Extended Day. I am EXHAUSTED!! but feel really needed and appreciated. Next week I have scheduled each teacher a time to come in, very briefly, I am afraid. But they have been using me as a resource.

I wish I could go but probably won't get to this year. I have had to be off due to a tooth infection and virus. Then I am also in a wedding and taking a day next week and two days after spring break for ATPE convention. I am on a state committee so I have already committed there. But count me in for next year definitely! :) Maybe we can meet up for lunch at Spring Break. I will be your way that Thurs. I need my Sandy McGee's fix! Take care-

Whew Hew! Look at the lady doing the splits! It makes me hurt just looking at the pic! But out of all the people I've met in my career, you stand out as being one of the most fun, most energetic, and most colorful people I know. I have so loved getting to know you Jan!!
