Texas School Librarians

Resources, networking, and sharing ideas

This is another in a series of book reviews I do with my 3rd and 4th graders. I choose a "hot dog" from each class weekly and they review a book for our Glog site. You can see more work at:

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for the nice comment. I've thought about doing some sort of "how to." I've tried to let anyone interested know the tools we use. One problem with doing a video is that I use several programs to get the look I want so it is kind of involved to produce them. If I can find the time to produce something I will. I've had lots of requests!
Thanks
Doug

I really admire the book reviews done by your students. The way the mouths move and the eyes blink - it's really entertaining. I would love to do something similar with the students at our school. Have you thought about creating a "how to" video? You seem very comfortable with technology. If you created a video showing this and other practical applications of technology in the library and with elementary students, I'm sure lots of librarians and teachers would be interested. This is a new area of exploration for many of us and we could use an effective guide.
